What separates the remake from ordinary alien shooters is how thoroughly it commits to being the invader rather than the heroic resistance fighter. The rebuilt visuals give its exaggerated characters, comic-book cities, and flying-saucer havoc far more personality, while the original voice work and writing preserve the cult appeal. Missions can be repetitive and stealth sections are intentionally simple, but the constant variety of weapons, powers, disguises, and saucer assaults keeps the campaign moving.
