Energy Hook

A jury-rigged gravity beam turns a ruined near-future playground into a high-speed aerial sport, where every missed landing can become the start of a spectacular recovery. Energy Hook follows Delilah, an up-and-coming competitor earning recognition in an underground scene built around swinging, wall-running, jetpacking, and impossible-looking stunts. The tone sits somewhere between a scrappy extreme-sports game and a free-roaming movement experiment: futuristic cities and floating islands feel dangerous, but the real pleasure comes from finding a graceful line through them. Rather than fighting enemies, players battle gravity, geometry, momentum, and their own ambition to land a bigger trick chain.

Movement is the entire game’s foundation. Delilah fires her energy line at surfaces, then uses the pull of the tether and the speed from falls to sling herself across open spaces, climb vertical structures, loop around anchor points, and launch into the air. Sandbox levels contain score attacks, time trials, trick-combo goals, and hidden collectibles, while shorter virtual-reality courses focus the action into more tightly designed challenges. Completing events raises street credibility, unlocking additional courses and allowing players to tune aspects of the energy line and jetpack to suit their preferred handling. Leaderboards give score chasers a reason to refine routes, although the open environments also support a calmer approach built around simply experimenting with traversal.

Its strongest feature is the sense of physical improvisation: a bad swing can become a wall-run, a drop can generate a huge launch, and a familiar route can reveal a faster or flashier solution. The levels shift dramatically in visual identity, with dystopian urban spaces, soft pastel architecture, abstract virtual zones, and organic floating terrain giving the game an anthology-like look. Energy Hook shares some DNA with Spider-Man-style web swinging, but its stunt-scoring emphasis and less guided structure make it feel closer to a cult skateboarding game played in midair. It suits players who enjoy mastering unusual movement systems, chasing leaderboard perfection, or relaxing in a sandbox where momentum itself is the main toy.
