Combat is turn-based and tactical, letting you attack with magic and weapons while directing a custom-made force of living creations; each summoned mutant costs valuable essence and must be chosen to suit your strategy. Character development supports several approaches, from durable melee fighters and powerful spellcasters to dedicated Shapers who build specialized armies of clawed, poisonous, or magical servants. Fighting is never the only answer, as dialogue skills, stealthy movement, and careful diplomacy can bypass confrontations or open paths that brute force leaves closed.
