Game Overview
Four limbless climbers, a pile of treacherous scenery, and a single reliable grip turn every level into a loud, ridiculous test of friendship. Heave Ho 2 is a physics-driven platformer built around cooperative swinging, dangling, and flinging bodies across cartoonishly dangerous stages. Its mood is deliberately slapstick: failure usually means somebody drops into a gruesome mess, while success often comes after an improvised rescue that looks far less controlled than it feels.
Players control individual hands, latch onto surfaces or teammates, and use momentum to haul the group over gaps, around pillars, and past moving hazards. Reaching a checkpoint demands communication and timing, since one player can act as an anchor while another swings forward, then pulls the rest of the team along. Up to four people can tackle the campaign together either locally or online, making distant friends just as capable of causing accidental disasters as couch companions. Eight themed environments keep changing the rules with zero-gravity sections, medieval contraptions, kitchen-scale obstacles, ninja-flavored traps, lasers, drones, ski lifts, and other interactive tools that can save a run or ruin it instantly.
The appeal lies in how simple controls create complicated, unpredictable situations; anyone can understand grabbing a hand, but mastering momentum under pressure takes practice. Heave Ho 2 also knows cooperation eventually turns competitive, offering versus challenges for groups who would rather sabotage each other than coordinate a clean finish. Its bold, toybox-like worlds and intentionally wobbly physics give it the same party-night energy as Gang Beasts, Human: Fall Flat, and the original Heave Ho, though its focus stays firmly on climbing as a team. Newcomers can enjoy the immediate physical comedy, while veteran groups find plenty of room to refine routes, chase cleaner runs, and create fresh chaos with every different set of players.
