Impire is a dungeon-management strategy game with a comic-book sense of cruelty, casting you as the diminished demon Báal-Abaddon after a summoning mishap leaves him trapped in an imp-sized body. His answer to humiliation is simple: tunnel into the earth, gather monsters, crush adventurers, and regain the power of a true overlord. The mood is playful rather than grim, with exaggerated characters, absurd dialogue, and a gleeful willingness to turn would-be heroes into raw materials.

Most of your time is spent carving out an underground base, placing specialized chambers, assigning workers, and keeping a growing population of creatures fed, trained, and useful. Minions excavate gold and mana, build traps, craft equipment, and defend corridors when surface-dwelling do-gooders arrive to loot the place. Báal joins the action directly with spells, weapons, armor, and leveling upgrades, while captured souls help fuel your expanding operation. Missions also send forces above ground to raid locations for loot, and collectible spell cards let you assemble a loadout suited to brute-force attacks, defense, or magical disruption.

Its strongest idea is the mix of classic Dungeon Keeper-style construction with a more hands-on RTS campaign structure and a deliberately irreverent fantasy setting. Creature recruitment has real personality, since different units fill distinct combat and work roles and become more capable through upgrades, while trap layouts reward planning beyond simply fielding a bigger army. The campaign supports solo play or cooperative sessions, and competitive multiplayer modes offer another outlet for players who enjoy testing dungeon layouts against human opponents.
