The ability to switch protagonists gives the island’s story a more flexible feel than a standard lone-survivor setup, while recruitable characters make expeditions and base work less solitary. Its pixel-art presentation and top-down structure evoke RPG Maker-style adult RPGs, but the crafting and labor systems add a layer closer to a compact survival sim.
