A fallen messenger of Odin must cross the branches of Yggdrasil without the wings that once made every journey effortless. Munin turns Norse mythology into a thoughtful 2D puzzle-platformer, casting the raven heroine as a mortal girl after Loki steals her feathers and leaves her stranded among the nine worlds. The mood is more curious than combative: each stage is a compact mechanical problem built from ancient runes, hazardous terrain, and impossible-looking routes. Rather than relying on twitch reflexes alone, the adventure asks players to look at every obstacle from a new angle—sometimes quite literally.

Munin runs, jumps, and navigates side-scrolling levels, but her defining ability is the power to rotate portions of the environment. A vertical pillar can become a bridge, a wall can become safe ground, and a blocked path can reveal an entirely different route once the landscape is turned. Physics reacts to every shift, sending rocks rolling, debris tumbling, and water or lava flowing into new positions; switches, moving structures, and collectible feathers add further layers to each puzzle. Progress comes from recovering the feathers needed to restore Munin’s former strength, while later levels combine multiple rotating sections and environmental hazards into trickier spatial challenges. The game’s 77 stages provide roughly seven hours of steady puzzle solving, with individual rooms favoring experimentation over harsh punishment.

What separates Munin from ordinary platform puzzlers is how naturally its rotation mechanic reshapes the rules of gravity without making the controls cumbersome. Its illustrated worlds and rune-marked pathways give the journey a storybook interpretation of Norse myth, while the self-contained level structure makes it easy to play in short sessions. Fans of games such as Braid, Trine, or The Bridge will recognize the appeal of perspective-driven puzzles, though Munin is less about narrative ambiguity and more about clear, tactile environmental logic.
