Its mood is tense and uncompromising, built around the feeling that every second of hesitation or every mistimed move can wreck a promising run. Rather than offering a casual arcade sprint, it asks for concentration, quick reactions, and the patience to learn from repeated failure.

Running, attacking, avoiding enemies, and collecting scrolls form the central loop, but the most important decisions arrive when damage is taken. A Smoke Bomb can save the ninja from a hit, yet it spends collected scrolls, turning survival into a costly trade and leaving fewer resources toward the objective. The required amount changes with difficulty, so higher settings demand sharper route planning and better judgment about when a rescue is worth the loss.
