Game Overview

A twenty-round survival run turns every victory into a gamble, blending compact action-RPG combat with roguelike risk management. One Last Raid pits a lone fighter against escalating packs of vermin, armed soldiers, ranged attackers, hulking brutes, and plague-themed threats, all building toward imposing boss encounters. The mood is tense rather than sprawling: each attempt is a focused raid where a stronger build can vanish after one bad fight. Players choose how punishing the run becomes before entering, making it approachable at first but increasingly unforgiving as tougher modes unlock.

Combat revolves around surviving successive enemy waves, collecting a chest after each round, and deciding which pieces of gear deserve a limited equipment slot. Weapons, helmets, and other loot compete for space, so a new item is not automatically an upgrade; its stats must fit the build and the threats ahead. A between-round shop sells short-lived improvements funded by run-earned coins, while optional challenge modifiers strengthen enemies in exchange for better payouts. Every fifth round offers a valuable escape hatch: cash out and preserve newly found equipment, or continue deeper for superior rewards while risking a return to the loadout saved before the run.

Its strongest idea is the blend of permanent gear retention and traditional roguelike loss, which makes retreating feel like a strategic success rather than simply quitting early. Bosses improve the quality of future rewards when defeated, and players can choose to summon additional bosses for a more dangerous, loot-heavy route or reserve everything for the final twentieth round. Normal, Heroic, Mythic, and Last Stand settings do more than inflate enemy health, changing boss pressure and the value of the equipment chase. Fans of short-form dungeon runs and build optimization, especially players who enjoy the risk-reward choices of Hades or roguelite survival modes, find a lean but replayable challenge here.
