An abandoned military barracks becomes the stage for a tightly focused supernatural investigation in Paranormal Place, a first-person psychological horror experience built around dread rather than action. You play Alex, a paranormal-content blogger chasing the kind of footage that can turn a small channel into an internet sensation. Armed with a camera and surveillance equipment, he enters a decaying complex whose official history feels far less disturbing than the evidence waiting inside. The mood is deliberately claustrophobic and uneasy, with every empty corridor and distant sound suggesting that Alex is no longer alone.

Exploration drives the entire experience. Alex moves through the barracks, examines its neglected spaces, and uses his recording gear to document phenomena while the game gradually escalates the pressure. There is no emphasis on fighting monsters or managing elaborate inventories; the challenge comes from pushing forward when the environment, audio cues, and visual details make retreat feel sensible. A bodycam-style presentation keeps the viewpoint intimate and unstable, while 3D surround sound makes footsteps, whispers, and unseen movement important parts of the tension. The campaign is designed as a compact, roughly hour-long horror story, making it well suited to a single late-night session.

Unreal Engine 5.3 visuals give the ruined setting a grounded, modern look, helping its shadows, grime, and abandoned rooms feel convincingly physical before the paranormal elements take over. Rather than relying on constant jump scares, Paranormal Place aims for a slow-burn walking-simulator structure in the vein of smaller first-person haunted-location games, where atmosphere is the main reward. Its short runtime means there is limited room for deep replayability or complex systems, but that also keeps the premise from overstaying its welcome. Fans of realistic found-footage horror, exploration-heavy indie scares, and focused paranormal stories should find it an accessible, effective detour between larger horror releases.
