An ink-wash fantasy realm becomes a shifting prison in Realm of Ink, an action roguelite built around repeated runs, doomed characters, and sharp swordplay. You begin as Red, a wandering swordswoman caught inside a story that seems determined to rewrite her fate, with a mysterious Fox power granting each new attempt another chance to push deeper. The mood balances elegant Chinese-inspired landscapes with a melancholy sense of predestination: beautiful forests, frozen kingdoms, watery nightmares, and solemn tombs all conceal dangerous creatures and tragic histories. Death is expected rather than final, making every failed escape part of the larger search for truth.

Combat centers on fast, reactive melee encounters where dodges, sword strikes, special attacks, and carefully chosen upgrades determine whether a run survives. Red gains access to multiple weapon forms, each changing her attack rhythm and encouraging different approaches, from direct aggression to more technical, ability-heavy setups. Ink Gems add elemental or status-based effects, while a large pool of perks can reshape attacks, projectiles, defenses, and resource management into powerful combinations.
