Gun handling demands discipline, as recoil, suppression, limited ammunition, and lethal sightlines punish players who sprint into the open like it is an arcade shooter. Squad leaders coordinate artillery, reconnaissance, and helicopter insertions, while proximity voice chat turns close encounters into frantic, often darkly funny exchanges between allies and enemies.

Asymmetric warfare is the defining strength here: a Huey landing troops on a hill feels completely different from a Viet Cong squad quietly setting traps along its approach. More than 50 weapons, flyable transport and attack helicopters, varied class roles, and extensive character customization keep the battlefield from feeling repetitive across its sizable map selection. The presentation is rougher and less polished than Battlefield, but its grounded weapon feel and tactical tension make every successful flank memorable.
