Procedurally generated towns ensure that targets, relationships, and the chain of useful discoveries do not unfold exactly the same way twice. The strongest idea is its inversion of Werewolf-style social games; instead of trying to find the killer, you exploit a community’s fear from the killer’s perspective. Slaughter Horse 2 is clearly made for players who enjoy sinister sandbox role-playing, emergent stories, and deliberately uncomfortable humor more than polished action combat.
