You play a Void Hunter attempting to defeat enormous Lords of the Void, beginning with modest attacks and steadily assembling a build that can turn lightning, poison, summoned creatures, fire, or blades into battlefield-clearing weapons. The mood is relentless rather than grim: it favors satisfying chaos, constant rewards, and the spectacle of watching a carefully chosen build melt an army.

Runs revolve around movement, positioning, and smart upgrade choices, since attacks trigger automatically while you steer through enemy swarms and dodge telegraphed boss strikes. Each level-up offers active abilities, modifiers, and passive bonuses, letting you stack effects such as critical hits, cooldown reduction, status ailments, area size, and extra projectiles until a simple skill behaves very differently. Defeated enemies yield materials and Soulstones that feed permanent progression between attempts, including a broad skill tree, weapon crafting, runes, and additional playable characters with distinct starting traits. Difficulty rises through optional Curses that add punishing enemy behaviors and stronger opposition, giving experienced players reasons to revisit familiar maps instead of merely grinding the safest route.

What separates it from many survivors-like games is the amount of RPG buildcraft packed into short sessions. Its large skill pool encourages experimentation, while weapon classes, character kits, rune combinations, and high-level crafting give long-term progression more weight than a typical arcade survival run. Boss encounters also demand more attention than simple swarm management, especially once Curses turn the arena into a crowded bullet-hell test.
