Game Overview

Paper Thin City turns the ordinary routines of work, school, shopping, and nightlife into a strange dimension-hopping role-playing adventure. You arrive as a flat stick figure in an unfamiliar two-dimensional metropolis, where nearly every building hides a job, a shady opportunity, a fight, or a clue about how to return home. The tone is deliberately goofy, but there is a real mystery beneath its simple Flash-era presentation, driven by bizarre citizens and collectible trans-dimensional artifacts. Stick RPG 2: Director’s Cut feels like a sandbox life sim filtered through a surreal comedy RPG.

Most of your time goes into building a better life one day at a time: earn money, raise attributes through training or studying, buy equipment, eat and sleep, then use your growing strength and status to open new possibilities. Careers range from relatively normal work to absurd roles such as professor, personal trainer, and cosmic-themed combat professions, giving progression a welcome sense of variety. Combat is straightforward but benefits from better weapons, stats, and access to dedicated battle zones, while quests send you across the city’s expanding districts. Gambling, investments, romance options, trophies, minigames, and both online and offline saves provide plenty of side activities when you are not pushing the central story forward.

Its strongest feature is the sheer density of choices packed into a deceptively simple stick-figure city. Rather than demanding perfect reflexes or complex build planning, it rewards curiosity and persistence, letting you decide whether to chase wealth, become a fighter, pursue relationships, or hunt every secret. The Director’s Cut additions broaden the original formula with more areas, quests, careers, weapons, and combat content, making the city feel more complete than a short novelty game. Players who enjoy the open-ended stat building of The Sims, the oddball humor of classic browser games, or lightweight RPG grinds will find a charming, eccentric time sink here, especially if they appreciate games that do not take their own world too seriously.
