A floating fortress is both your home and your most valuable weapon in a fractured fantasy realm. Stones Keeper blends party-based tactical RPG battles with castle management, placing you in command of the Order of the Griffin as it travels between hostile islands, ruins, settlements, and faction territory. The mood is grand but practical: every campaign decision feeds into the survival and growth of your airborne stronghold. Its story campaign leans into military intrigue, old secrets, and the constant pressure of defending a vulnerable order in a world full of pirates, monsters, and rival powers.

Battles play out on turn-based maps where positioning matters as much as raw damage. Warriors use walls, debris, and terrain for cover, while certain objects can be smashed apart to create quicker routes or deny enemies protection, making each encounter more flexible than a simple exchange of attacks. Between missions, you recruit specialists, choose their equipment and consumables, and build squads around different weapons, abilities, and battlefield roles. Castle upgrades expand your defenses and systems, helping you withstand assaults from enemy flying citadels, artillery, and raiders while unlocking stronger options for the next operation. Objectives vary beyond straightforward elimination, ranging from sieges and settlement defense to wagon escorts, church protection, allied interventions, and technology raids; two players can also tackle battles through LAN or Remote Play Together.

What distinguishes Stones Keeper is the way its strategic layer is tied directly to a mobile base rather than a static kingdom on a menu screen. More than 55 unit types, including gryphon riders, witches, golems, dragons, and ents, give army building a broad fantasy toolbox, while skirmish mode lets players choose among four factions for standalone castle conflicts. The campaign’s roughly 45 missions provide a substantial single-player arc, but its mission variety and squad experimentation encourage revisiting difficult encounters with different compositions. Fans of Heroes of Might and Magic-style fantasy warfare and XCOM-like tactical positioning should find plenty to enjoy, especially if they prefer deliberate planning over fast reflexes.
