A meteor-shattered Earth becomes the setting for a tense blend of tactical RPG adventuring and settlement survival. Civilization has collapsed beneath climate disasters, scarce supplies, hostile wildlife, and rival groups competing to shape whatever comes next. Survive the Fall balances beautiful, quiet wilderness vistas against the constant pressure that a single bad expedition can cost lives, equipment, and hard-earned progress. Its tone is harsh but not hopeless: the goal is not merely to endure the apocalypse, but to build a functioning community within it.

Expeditions send a three-person squad into an open world to scavenge resources, recover artifacts, meet factions, and uncover the truth behind the meteor’s aftermath. Combat runs in real time, but squad commands let you direct allies during dangerous encounters; stealth, ambushes, trap disarming, and careful positioning often matter more than charging in with limited ammunition. Each survivor brings useful strengths, needs proper gear, and can either join field teams or take on essential jobs back at camp. Loot feeds a broader base-management loop where farms, kitchens, shelters, research stations, and other facilities keep the population healthy while expanding a sizable technology tree.

The strongest idea is the connection between intimate squad-level risk and larger community consequences: every wounded companion, wasted resource, or successful haul changes how well the settlement functions. Rather than treating its base as a detached menu system, the game makes it feel like the reason expeditions matter in the first place. Environmental storytelling, mysterious remnants of the old world, and competing survivor factions give the wasteland more personality than a simple resource map. Fans of the tactical tension in XCOM, the scavenging pressure of Fallout, and the colony planning of survival builders should find plenty to like, especially if they enjoy deliberate, systems-driven post-apocalyptic RPGs.
