You play Exo, an ordinary courier whose routine delivery goes catastrophically wrong, leaving her with a reality-bending power called the Glitch and every major authority looking to control it. TRON: Catalyst carries the series’ familiar digital cool, but its tone leans tense and uncertain as rival programs, authoritarian peacekeepers, and a relentless hunter named Conn close in. The result is a fast, focused sci-fi chase through a society that is visibly coming apart at the seams.

Combat mixes close-range strikes, ranged Identity Disc throws, evasive movement, parries, and well-timed Disc kicks against hostile programs. Exo gathers Data Shards while pushing through city districts and outlying areas, then uses them to expand her abilities and become more capable in increasingly demanding encounters. Light Cycles add a welcome change of pace, bringing vehicle combat and high-speed traversal into the campaign rather than leaving players on foot for the entire adventure. The Glitch is the central hook: recurring system resets let Exo retain knowledge across loops, reveal concealed paths, and manipulate situations that other inhabitants of the Grid cannot even recognize.

Bithell Games gives the TRON universe a more intimate perspective than a typical blockbuster adaptation, emphasizing conversations, factions, and the consequences of a destabilized digital world alongside the action. Its clean isometric presentation, glowing architecture, and Dan Le Sac’s electronic score capture the franchise’s look without simply recycling its greatest hits. Players who enjoy the reactive combat and exploration of modern isometric adventures, but want a tighter narrative structure than a loot-heavy action RPG, should find plenty to like here. Fans of TRON: Identity get a meaningful return to the Arq Grid, while newcomers can follow Exo’s story without needing deep franchise knowledge.
