Game Overview

Zerzura’s ruined skyline becomes the battlefield for a grim deckbuilding RPG where corporate scavengers, rogue machine creations, and resistance fighters collide over the remains of a lost civilization. Zero Division puts you in command of a three-person squad entering a sealed-off city that once housed a crucial surviving artificial intelligence. The atmosphere leans hard into post-war science fiction: derelict districts conceal valuable technology, horrific experiments roam unchecked, and the corporations supposedly maintaining order have their own reasons to control the ruins. It is a tactical roguelite built around surviving dangerous expeditions rather than simply overpowering enemies.

Each run begins with choosing three operators from Guardian, Assault, and Specialist roles, but the party system is deliberately flexible. Every character brings a personal pool of signature cards alongside open deck slots, letting you build around defense, burst damage, status effects, resource manipulation, or cross-character combos. Combat depends on reading enemy behavior and sequencing cards intelligently, especially when bosses shift phases and introduce raid-like mechanics that demand adaptation. Campaign runs take squads through a selection of fractured city districts toward the heart of the exclusion zone, while Draft Mode provides randomized card pools and a punishing escalating boss gauntlet.

The most appealing idea here is that no operator is locked into being the star; smart deck construction and earned upgrades can turn any squad member into a central piece of a run. Its boss encounters aim for the spectacle and mechanical pressure of MMO raids without requiring a large online group, pitting small teams against war machines, mutated threats, and heavily armed aerial enemies. Permanent progression through Mnemosynth gives failed attempts real value by expanding the cards available in later runs, softening the learning curve without removing the need for tactical discipline. Players who enjoy Slay the Spire-style card synergies, Darkest Dungeon’s oppressive expeditions, and party-based RPG planning should find plenty to dig into, particularly if they value experimentation over fixed character builds.
