Assault On Proxima is a brisk science-fiction FPS built around clean, immediate shooting rather than slow tactical simulation, putting players in the armored boots of Strike Force Delta commandos. The tone lands somewhere between old-school alien-blasting spectacle and a colorful comic-book war story, with swarms of creatures, oversized armored monsters, and plenty of explosive firepower. Its campaign frames the action as humanity’s attempt to retake a strategically vital colony system in the year 2915.

Missions revolve around moving through dangerous combat zones, clearing alien resistance, and completing objectives while managing threats that range from aggressive drones to enormous crab-like Gacrux units. Four selectable classes—Assault, Soldier, Recon, and Medic—give squads distinct roles, while weapons, perks, and explosives let players tune a loadout toward direct damage, support, scouting, or survival. Solo play provides a straightforward campaign route, but four-player co-op is the natural fit, especially as enemy pressure scales with the team’s size and effectiveness. Competitive multiplayer adds Capture the Flag, Conquest, and Free For All modes, and its most interesting twist is the chance to fight as either the human forces or the aliens, with each faction bringing different abilities and combat rhythms.
