A cursed Long Island estate becomes a sprawling supernatural maze in this restored cult first-person shooter from the early 1990s. Set in the 1930s, Killing Time: Resurrected follows an Egyptology student caught in the fallout from heiress Tess Conway’s disastrous attempt at immortality. Her guests vanish, the island fills with undead monstrosities and bizarre apparitions, and the only way out lies in destroying an Egyptian Water-Clock at the center of the curse. The mood balances old-school horror, gruesome action, and a deliberately odd strain of gallows humor.

Combat plays like a classic maze FPS: you scour mansions, gardens, caves, mausoleums, and hidden facilities for keys, weapons, ammunition, switches, and the clues needed to push deeper into the estate. Enemies arrive in large numbers and demand constant movement, while the unfamiliar layout and interconnected zones make attention to routes and secrets as important as raw aim. Its biggest strength is the strange atmosphere: few shooters combine 1930s decadence, Egyptian occultism, digitized actors, and an island-sized level structure quite like this. The remaster also unites enemy types and weapons previously split between the original PC and 3DO releases, while restoring cut locations and artifacts for a more complete version of the adventure. Expect old-fashioned design rather than a modern cinematic campaign; navigation can be demanding, secrets matter, and the visual style remains intentionally rooted in its era despite the cleaner presentation.
