Zero Hour adds new units and nine specialized General variants, each trading parts of a faction’s standard roster for a focused style built around air power, tanks, stealth, superweapons, demolition tactics, or more. Campaign missions offer faction-specific scenarios, while the standout General’s Challenge mode pits you against a series of increasingly dangerous AI commanders and demands efficient build orders as much as brute force.

Few classic RTS games sell military escalation as clearly as Zero Hour: a skirmish can begin with Humvees and technicals, then end beneath a swarm of MiGs or a launched Scud Storm. Its readable faction identities, punchy sound design, and instantly recognizable units make it easy to learn, even when the economy and counterplay grow demanding at higher difficulties.
