Hulk (2003)

Gamma-fueled destruction drives this comic-book action adventure, which picks up after Bruce Banner’s transformation into the Hulk. Bruce is hunted, feared, and still struggling to control the creature inside him, while the super-intelligent Leader plots to weaponize gamma radiation and create an army of mutated monsters. The story leans into the darker, more tragic side of the character rather than treating him as a simple superhero, mixing military conspiracies, laboratories, and hostile urban zones. Its early-2000s presentation is unmistakable, but the chance to play both sides of Banner’s curse gives the campaign a moodier identity than many licensed games of its era.

Missions alternate between Banner’s vulnerable infiltration sequences and the Hulk’s full-force rampages. As Bruce, players sneak past guards, avoid detection, work through security systems, and use the environment carefully because direct confrontation is rarely an option. Hulk sections reverse that dynamic completely: smashing enemies, wrecking machinery, throwing objects, leaping across arenas, and building rage through combat all become central to survival. Combat focuses on heavy strikes, grabs, ranged attacks using debris, and destructive interactions with the scenery, while escalating enemy forces demand more than simply mashing attacks.

The contrast between stealth and brute strength remains the strongest idea here, even when the Banner missions feel more rigid than the explosive Hulk levels. Watching the same conflict from the perspective of a hunted scientist and an unstoppable monster gives the campaign useful variety, and the game captures the fantasy of turning anger into raw physical power. Environmental damage and exaggerated comic-book action make the Hulk portions especially satisfying for players who enjoy uncomplicated brawlers with a destructive edge. Fans of the 2003 film, classic Marvel stories, and older superhero games such as Spider-Man: The Movie will find plenty to appreciate, while newcomers should expect a straightforward, occasionally rough, but memorable action game.
